Experiencia fantástica: Una escuela fantástica con profesores y personal amables, y un programa excepcionalmente interesante para conocer la ciudad y su cultura. Las clases reducidas y el ambiente relajado crean un entorno de aprendizaje ideal.

Experiencia negativa: I do not recommend.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve just got back from the first day of my two weeks course and am extremely disappointed. After double checking the reviews (right now), I’ve realised that most of them are 6-7 years old and I think that the quality of the school went down since then. Firstly, I got to the course which was way too difficult (the teacher rejected to speak or explain vocabulary or whatever in English, which was really difficult as if you miss the meaning of some words in the sentence, you get lost quickly). I was asking a lot of questions (every time when I didn’t understand something) but was the only one so after a while I stopped asking and lost the track with the teacher. After some time, myself and other two students realised that the level is too high for us so we were relegated to a different class. The teacher we got was everywhere, too confusing, didn’t have any structure of the lesson, she was jumping from one grammar problem to another or she was over explaining one thing. Her knowledge of English was very poor. We didn’t do any practicing exercises until I asked to do so. A good teacher should know this. Then she started explaining that she has to follow what her boss tells her (which I think wasn’t professional at all). The good and competent teacher can be spot by one thing (to hear and understand students needs and try to adapt). None of these two teachers had it. I’ve went through many English and Italian courses (both in group and individual) so I am able to compare the quality and the structure of the class. This was my the worst experience. I wouldn’t recommend to come here and take a course. It’s waste of the money. Thankfully, I paid only the deposit (so the full two weeks tuition hasn’t been taken by the school). Though 100$ deposit was. At least I have a book which I’ll go through by myself as I know I will learn more by selfstudying than with the teachers at this school.

Experiencia fantástica: A fantastic language school in Santiago. I've greatly enjoyed my time here, not just for improving Spanish but also for making new friends. The classes were interesting and included as much talking as possible which resulted in quick improvement of my Spanish. If you're going, don't pack your weekends with activities, the school has well organized activities that you definitely want to join. I was lucky to go to natural hot springs, Valparaiso & Viña del Mar, rafting and a winery. Vero, Luisa, y Javiera, muchas gracias para tu clases. Yo las disfrutaba y aprendia mucho. Astrid, tus actividades en el fin de semana fueron fantástico! Me encantan mucho.

Experiencia fantástica: Fui aluna em 2023, tive problema com a agência de intercâmbio e foram super solícitos, paguei o programa direto com a escola e conseguiram uma casa de família no bairro pra eu ficar. Foram apenas duas semanas mas me senti muito acolhida. Minha turma era iniciante de espanhol, tinha outros 4 brasileiros além de mim e um suíço. Tem excursões quase toda semana, achei muito bacana a experiência.

Experiencia fantástica: Hice el curso de español en la escuela Tandem en septiembre del año pasado. ¡Me gustó mucho la escuela! La escuela acoge muy bien a los estudiantes. Las clases fueron excelentes y me encantó mi profesora, América. Jazmín, quien trabaja en la secretaría de la escuela, siempre fue muy amable y estuvo dispuesta a ayudar con información sobre todo. Además de las clases, la escuela ofrece excursiones y actividades adicionales. Visité el Cementerio General, el Cerro San Cristóbal, Viña Santa Rita, Cajón del Maipo y otros lugares. ¡También tomé clases de cocina! Quien organiza todas estas actividades y excursiones es Astrid, quien es la verdadera estrella de la escuela. ¡Ella es maravillosa! Siempre está dispuesta a ayudar a todos, brindar información sobre la ciudad, los medios de transporte y lugares de interés, incluso si no son actividades organizadas por ella. Fue una excelente guía en los paseos que hice con ella: amable, atenta a cada detalle y siempre preocupada por el bienestar de todos. Experiencia fantástica: Hace unos años (creo que 4) fui a Chile y decidí iniciar en este centro un curso de inglés, el cuál fue maravilloso, toda la experiencia fue muy bonita y los staff super hogareños y simpáticos, lamentablemente tuve que irme prácticamente sin avisar por problemas personales y me arrepiento porque esta gente se nota que aman su trabajo, el centro es acogedor y bonito, los profesores súper atentos, y las jornadas de tandem emocionantes donde podías practicar tus habilidades y hacer amigos! De hecho aún conservo varios amigos alemanes. Si algún día vuelvo a chile, volveré a este centro sin dudarlo

Realicé dos cursos de inglés en periodos distintos, 2019 (presencial) y 2021(online) en la escuela TANDEM, mi experiencia ha sido excelente, los trabajadores con los que tuve la oportunidad de compartir, muy amables y profesionales, siempre interesados en que los estudiantes se sientan lo mejor posible, generando un cómodo ambiente, la infraestructura de la escuela es sumamente agradable, ideal para estudiar, las clases son de calidad, me topé con excelentes profesores en ambos periodos, personalmente nunca había participado en clases online, fue una gran experiencia, nada que decir de los profesores, explican realmente bien y están siempre dispuestos a resolver dudas, incentivando en todo momento el aprendizaje, adecuando sus clases para un formato online.

Experiencia fantástica: Die Sprachschule ist direkt neben der Metro "Salvador" in einem schönen Altbau gelegen. Ich habe dort den C1-Vorbereitungskurs für die DELE-Prüfung gemacht und von der ersten Kommunikation über den Unterricht bis zum Tag der Prüfung war alles sehr professionell organisiert. Bei Fragen erhält man sehr schnelle Antworten. Am Tag der DELE-Prüfung wurden alle Sicherheitsmaßnahmen und Hygienestandards (Fiebermessen, Desinfektion, Masken, etc.) eingehalten und sehr ernst genommen, sodass alles trotz COVID super geklappt hat. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Tandem-Team für die freundliche Betreuung. Die Sprachschule ist sehr empfehlenswert und ich würde dort immer wieder an einem Kurs teilnehmen.

Experiencia fantástica: Alles Top! Eine Woche Bildungsurlaub vor meinem eigentliche Urlaub eingelegt und hatte eine super Zeit! Anmeldung, Anerkennung hier in Deutschland beim Arbeitgeber und auch beim Finanzamt ;-) lief alles bestens! Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Experiencia fantástica: We spent a week taking Spanish lessons at Tandem in Santiago. We were here from December 9th until friday 13th 2019. We of course knew that there were some problems in Santiago due to social unrest, but the classes just go on as usual and we didn't encounter any problem. We can easily say we felt very safe. We had a great time and would recommend it to everybody who wants to learn a bit (or a lot more) Spanish! It was nice to experience that there were not only young people at the school, but also some seniors ... They have a great atmosphere, nice activities and good teachers. It was also very nice to stay at a homestay a few blocks away. The neighbourhood of Tandem is a safe area and has some nice little restaurants. Greetings from the Netherlands!

Experiencia fantástica: Very helpful and attentive native teachers with lots of experience. I liked also the fact that they stress the differences between Spanish in Latin America and Spain. Students from all over the world, easy to make friends also due to the excellent excursion program the school offers. The colonial-style house is in a very handy location near the metro station Salvador in Providencia.

Experiencia fantástica: I've taken several languages courses over the past years (not for Spanish language) but this school has been my favorite by far. The school is very well organized - the staff was always extremely fast answering any questions I had before my arrival and very helpful at any time during my stay as well. I've also booked an accommodation through the school and was very happy with my choice. The teachers are extremely good and make sure you understand things properly. Lots of free activities - for example movie night, salsa class and a language exchange each Friday. Also, weekend trips (with an extra cost) if you don't want to organize a trip yourself. I do highly recommend this school for anyone wanting to learn Spanish.

Experiencia positiva: The website is clear and it was easy to find out the information needed about hours of study and accommdation. The staff and teachers I had contact with were kind and friendly. The pace can be fast, but I re-took the weeks I felt I needed to. As students, we will learn according to how much study time we put in too!! They support you outside of the classroom too. One administrator realised I was just not clicking with one aspect of grammar and took time out to explain it to me until I understood. There are good packages which include accommodation which are worth considering. Free extracurricular stuff too - movies on Monday, visit to a museum on Wednesdays and salsa on Thursdays. Also inter cultural language exchange on Friday evening. They offered weekend activities via a travel agency (at extra cost) which took the hassle away from having to search myself.

Experiencia fantástica: Very good place to start when you want to learn spanish. I went from practically not speaking spanish, to fluent within a 5 month time span. The teachers are very knowledgeable about the language, and are very pleasant to be around. I would recommend this institute to anyone who is interested in learning this beautiful language.

EL CURSO MAS QUE NADA CONSISTIA EN RESOLVER LAS ACTIVIDADES DE DICHO LIBRO, LO CUAL ME PARECE INACEPTABLE. Experiencia fantástica: The language courses are incredibly affordable and you don't have to worry about buying textbooks. The school has all of the materials you need. A fair amount of time in class is spent doing exercises from the books, but I also found my classes to be really interactive. The teachers really seem interested in the interests and opinions of their students. I would definitely recommend spending some extra money to do at least the "Super Intensive" option because it will give you more conversation practice. The school is also in a great location, as it is in Providencia and very close to metro Salvador. There are also free excursions on Wednesdays, and a language exchange (also free) on Friday nights. To get the most out of your lessons it really helps to study what you learn at home. The teachers do not assign much homework, so it is up to you to practice and apply what you learned in class.

Experiencia negativa: They teach way to fast, its learning to forget. Always felt im not good enough and need to learn in privat time again to keep up. Teachers are friendly, but some dont know english at all what was hard in a beginner class. Wouldnt go there again, made school somewhere else after and that was better. Not good for beginners.

(For beginners, but also for pre-intermediate students) At this school students get the opportunity to significantly improve their Spanish, together with learning about Chilean culture and trips. Experiencia fantástica: I only stayed for a week and although I started out as an absolute beginner in spanish, I was able to communicate quite nicely at the end of that week. We were only four pupil in my superintensive course, so the teacher could easily adapt to the individual progress of everyone of us, which I found very helpful. The staff are very nice and they were very helpful with everything concerning my stay in Santiago. I also liked the location, which is more of a town villa than a school building.

Experiencia fantástica: Recently, over the course of 2 months, I took language classes at Tandem Santiago while doing an internship. When I arrived in Chile, I was not able to speak to the people working at customs at the airport at all (my mistake to assume they would speak English). As I left Chile, I spoke Spanish fluently. Tandem Santiago has been the most welcoming and yet efficient school I have ever attended. The teachers managed to strike a balance between conversational and formal Spanish and embedded the teaching of the necessary grammatical structures within facts about Chile and anecdotes such that even studying the subjuntivo was fun. It was obvious that they enjoyed and lived their profession; each of the 4 teachers which I had did so in his or her own characteristic and engaging way. The small group teaching (in my case we were at most 4 students in class) also contributed immensely achieving to a steep learning curve. The cultural activities which were organized in the afternoons were also really nice, especially the visit of an organic wine yard and the subsequent wine tasting was a highlight! Particularly descriptive of how hospitable I was being received was one episode for me: After 5 weeks in Chile, my Credit Card stopped working, which was a very serious problem for me. After having spoken to the director of the school, he undertook everything possible until the problem was solved. I am very grateful, both for the education which I have received as well as for the great time which I got to spent at Tandem Santiago. Espero poder volver algún día! PS. Yes, I could have written this review in Spanish. But my guess is that if someone is looking for a language school, possibly, he or she is not fluent in Spanish (...yet!)! ;)
